177 Senior Heavy Hi guys,
As some of you might be aware, there are a few of the drivers in the Senior Rotax at Llandow who (on their own admission) are a little bit on the HEAVY side! Believe me I've seen the evidence on more than one occasion!
However, they've had to travel over the water to Dunkeswell to fell more... lets say at home, amongst like-heavied racing folk I mean of course!
To cut a long story short, the said drivers (won't name and shame here) have longed for a 177 Heavy grid at Llandow and asked if I could help bring a grid from over the water.
To this extent and given that Dunkeswell championship ended last Sunday, Llandow KC have extended an invitation to any DKRC drivers willing to travel to the next two races left at Llandow this season. I have delivered this message to the Chairman of DKRC and the invitation was made last Sunday at the drivers' briefing.
I can say that the seed was planted and there is a strong possibility there will be a Rotax 177 grid next month at Llandow.
So, if you are of the "heavy" persuasion and you want to have your own grid next month please consider the possibility of making the class by preparing your outfit for such eventuality. Marking your entry with 177 next month will ensure you will be considered for the class if enought numbers are achieved, if not you will be included in the Senior Rotax (light) class.
If you need information regarding the 177 Rotax class please consult your Yellow Book. Please note that drivers over 35yrs old can be excluded from the 85kg/driver limit!
I would like to add that this post and the entire initiative was designed and executed with all the best intentions on all parts concerned. All those involved have no intention of either influencing the outcome of the LKC Championship (those involved should consider such outcomes) nor of diluting the Senior Max grid.
Yours,
Dan/K1
