Club membership
Hi all, do you know if it is possible for me to race at the celtic cup but not be a member at llandow? either that or does anyone know how long the membership lasts? i.e is it from jannuary to jannuary or is it for a year from the time you apply for it?

Hi Emma, you can race at the Celtic if you are not a member of Llandow but you must be a member of an MSA registered club to be able to race in an MSA event. I take it you are not racing this weekend then?

Membership runs from January to December unfortunately for you Emma. Ring Big Col (Colin Lipscombe on the LKC contact form) who is the membership secretary and see what options are available. The Club is always looking for new members and also people to race and we'd all like to see you on the grid. I'm supposed to be working this weekend as well but I'm trying to get the Sunday covered to come and just race. Let's hope you find a way to start racing this weekend. There's also Wayne and Simon who are novices so you won't feel alone at the back of the grid. Dan

I will give the club a call as soon as I can. Work and college seem to be taking up all my time at the moment. Failing that I might be down having a run about on Tuesday next week. Unfortunately Nigel I won’t be racing this week end no, (I can see the look of disgrace on your face already) :wink: i had better be off im in an I .T lesson lol :D

If you wanted to race at the Celtic im sure the club will ask for a nominal membership fee for 1 race meeting rather than charge you the full whack and then ask again for a membership fee in January. I know this has been done before for people who join the club late in the season

Shame you didn't make it this weekend Emma, it was a healthy grid, 3 novices and at times quite close racing due to the fact that shortage of funds has brought people out on used tyres rather than the usual flashy new sets of yore! Let's hope we'll see you on the grid soon! Dan
