Hi Peeps Just thought I would drop in and say HELLO, been looking at the karting scene for some while now and finaly bit the bullet, bought my son a cadet kart with a comer S60 engine (he's having great fun with it) but is quite happy not to be competitive at the moment 8)
I have also at great risk of being beaten to a bloody pulp by the wife :wink: , bought my-self a Formula Blue outfit......and trailer.....and stand....and I’m gonna be in deep **** with the Bank Manager if I carry on :cry:
Anyway I will book Tom (my son) into the race school and look forward to seeing some of you guys sometime.
We live in Aberystwyth so not to far.

Glad to hear you and your son are both involved and look forward to seeing you at Llandow soon. Unfortunately there is no F Blue grid at Llandow at the moment so it might be an idea to get all your testing and practice in on the Blue and then switch classes if/when you decide to go racing.

Yes thanks Henry, were looking to have some competitive fun rather than full on racing then later we can look at the costs etc and see if either of us have the ability of going further.
We have a local track "Cardigan Bay Karting Centre" a 750mtr track which is great but it would be nice to have others on similar karts to gauge how good or not:) we are doing.

Might see you up at cardigan bay karting centre some time as I go there with our karting club from aber uni. Bet that place is interesting in a formula blue :lol: Might be worth asking the bloke who runs it what sort of times things like rotax's and if hes had any blues there were doing to give you a rough idea of times to aim for. His son also races gearbox so I'm sure if you ask he would take your blue out for a run and give you some times to aim for if you see what I mean.

I didn’t know there was a karting club at the uni, nice one!! Being a complete newb at this it seems to me that we have a lot of karters around Aberystwyth area but have no focus point to get together, there was talk about starting a club based at Cardigan Bay but it didn’t come about this year:(

Where is the Cardigan Bay Karting centre guys? I'd like to have a look next time I'm in that area.
Is it indoors or out? Tarmac or concrete?
I know there's another little outdoor track in Haverfordwest of Fishguard with an arrive and drive operation, can't remember exactly where now.
