Holy $*** Dibbs! Where did you buy your axle from? It must have been gold plated with diamond keys. I am sure if the axle was not too badly bent, the deft application of a scaffold pole, the law of the leaver and some hefty muscle would have put it right. You are not racing for real yet. Don't go lashing out large sums of cash until you need to. Check out some of the Karting supply websites and compare prices. Most places have free delivery over a certain amount. As far as I can figure the cost of an axle is between £30 and £60. Depends on what kind you need. Take care.

Dibbymac, it only costs the mortgage if you have it to spend in the first place! How did you con your dad into paying that much for an axle? Dartford Karting do excellent axles for £35+vat and they have Free postage for orders over £50! You need to spend more time on karting websites, Ebay, etc. and less on building noticeboards where you can talk to yourself! Yes karting can be expensive and it can't be helped if you visit the tyres too often, but with a bit of diligence you can soon get that cost down to the entry level sport that it should be! Rather than getting the card out straight away why don't you ask here first? One or two of us even advertise our telephone numbers and would be only too pleased to help a beginner! Use them! Dan
