Going to try this one again, this time with a twist! How do the prokarteers feel about changing from our Dunny's (very apt if you speak Australian) to Bridgestones. There seems to be a trend at present for clubs to want to do this as it allows you to enduro and sprint on the same tyre. Now is the time to get registered and have your say!

Nige, i personnaly think it would be a good idea for the pro kart drivers to use bridgestones, they are a good proven tyre. Are you talking about Jnr's as well as Snr's, or Snr's only? What price are they compared to the Australian Dunny's? If you are going to get this in position for the summer you really need it sorted at the first committtee meeting this coming wed night. :D

Cost wise the slicks are a couple of quid less and the wets a couple of quid more, check out Zoom but DK will be cheaper. I was thinking more along the lines of changing for 2008 as some people have already bought new tyres. Change over to the slicks in January but leave the wets open to Kt3 or ydk for the year until everyones stock of wets is used up. Changing the juniors to Bridgies was also the plan as they would need them if they are going to lose a couple of gaskets! And in answer to your question Sqeak, some non msa(couldnt see an Emoticon sticking its fingure down its throat for those 3 letters) do let 14 or 15 year olds race and I would guess they run YDS.

Wouldn't afffect me greatly in terms of being able to do endurance racing and stuff but is there any difference performance wise Nige?? Thanks for fixing my engine by the way :D From Dutch :P

Performance wise the Bridgy is probably not as quick as a new dunlop but it is more consistant throughout its lifespan, as you,ve probably figured out today, an old Dunny isnt worth a wotsit. Paul Davies, Jacks dad in jnr pro has already figured out that the Dunny goes off to quick with cold weather. The idea is all about making it easier for endurance racers to come and have a race with us rather than us going endurance racing as we would need new tyres anyway.

I think it'd be good if they did as then the step from cadet to prokart would be better as hey'd have more grip.
