ProKarts for me?
:roll: dibbimac! I can not stand by and let your remark about Llandow arrive and drive karts go by without a response. To compare an A&D kart to a race ready PROKART is just crazy. OK Dan, I know you think a 'race ready Prokart' is a contradiction in terms, but even you will know what I mean. I dont think d-mac has been to Llandow on a race day. (next one on Nov 18) Its a bit like Llandow in WW11. The 'Fighter boys' in their flash and speedy TKMs and Rotaxis, fliting round the corners and smelling like old gas mantles, and the 'Bomber boys' in their Prokarts trying to keep in formation, jockying for position, slower, but getting the job done. It should not be about who has got the fastest or the most expensive kit. It should be about KARTING. Karting 4 life! Just love it.

My point is, is that i have been used 2 Llandow arrive and drive karts, quite a while now. And the other day, i tried out my new mini max, it was a hell of a difference!! Crappin myself comin out of the pitstop!! Dibbymac

I am really happy for you. Point taken. Any A&D karts are OK for kids and playing around on. Real men drive KARTS. Any class will do and Dans the man for good experienced advice. There are also drivers in all the other classes who will be pleased to give you any help they can. I hope you join LKC get licenced and race for real. The track is littered with 'bricks' left by karters who have found themselves in sticky situations. All part of the excitement. The cost of karting seems to be increasing every year. Prokarts are the most economical, especially if you keep your distance from some of the more 'enthusiastic' drivers. Mentioning no names. To answer a question or two, I got interested in motor sports back in 1985. My son was the fan and I began by taking hlm, now he takes me. or rather I now do the following. The Old bit is true, the K D is nothing to do with Ken Denscombe, another old timer at the Track. Don't say I called him an 'old timer' I particularly like the Prokarts because of the age spread of the drivers. They can be as young as 16 or as old as '22' or '66'. I think it is great to watch the younger drivers learn from the older ones and win. Anyway, I hope to see you and your sister racing at Llandow. If she wants to join the Prokart grid she will be most welcome. We haven't had lace trim on the side pods for a very long time.

ye, but i am used 2 a&d karts. Get a grip!! Hey, and i thought that they were fast when i went on them at first, then i went on my one, it was like the speeed of light compared. Hey, dont u get that sometimes?? Oh ye, i forgot, u were a cybernetic organism, weren't u?? One that loves prokarts?? Look, dont take it seriously, but just summin 2 say aint it?? HEY!! Im also probably the 1 that brought this website 'Back 2 life' didn't i, K1 Dan, u did say that?? Didn't u?? HAHA!! I hate prokarts anyway, i raced 1 the other day, im sure i did, and it kept cuttin the grass, and it rammed me and i almost tipped over!! Dunno if it was u, i dunno, but its either the kart ('RECOMMENDED!!') or could be the driver, i doubt it was the driver though, he was a nice guy who actually sed sory!! Sometimes, like on utube, they start fighting eachother. Oh ye, and like u said, u like watching the younger ones race the older, why?? Why?? WWWWWWHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYY??????? Seriously...................WHY??!! Is it cos the older ones r gonna easily win, aint it?? Does that include u?? i hate it wen that happens, i went on with some rotax maxs, and it was a boring practice, believe me, every1 was passing me on the straight cos i got a mini max, oh and did u see the 2 crashes that happened on the weekend???? It was awful!! One person went into the tires and badly injured his wrist, and on sunday, some1 with a rotax max or a rotax jnr almost flipped!! I hope hes alright!! Also, about my sister, she aint racing yet, maybe when she is older, like my age, she can have a go on my kart, so far, she is in wat she calls a 'Race team'. I duno tho. If she sees any kart she wants it, but only a few days ago i had mine and since then she has been into karting, so... maybe she would like a pro kart, ill ask her, ok? And 1 more thing (I tell u wat, this is probably the longest message iv ever written!!) I wouldnt be down Llandow on a race day would i?? I used 2, cos i went 2 watch Rhys Jenkins, my cousine, in a way. Thats the guy i got my kart from, the Birel rotax with the 2000 engine, but ye, im still at achademy so far!!!!! LOL!!!! Nice long post. Its good to write. Why do I like to see the youngsters and the oldsters race each other? Simple really. The longer you race the more experience you gain. In Prokart drivers like Nige and Tooty have been at it a long time. They probably know every bump, every angle and line that Llandow has to offer. The younger drivers try to learn their secrets and its great to see a new generation of karters taking on the 'experts', and win. I might suggest that if you have spent a lot of time 'gardening' in a Prokart its maybe not the kart thats the problem. They might be slower but they are still fast enough to spin, fail to take a corner, or just get away from you for no apparent reason. Like any class its all about learning the kart and reading the track. The Academy will teach you all these things but you will only really learn by racing. Learn from the other, more experiencd drivers. Practice makes perfect, an old saying but very true. When your sister is ready to take up karting she might consider a Prokart. I know the old arguments about being slower and all that but she would learn a lot about handling and racing a kart. She would also save a lot on tyres and running costs. If she really gets the bit between her teeth she can always move up to a faster class. Llandow has some young lady champs.who put the guys to shame, and thats great too. Thanx 4 the advice 4 my sister, and if we should give out tips, everyone should take this on board, on the new extension, watch out 4 the second corner, if yr tyres r cold, slow down, if its like yr 3rd or 4th lap, try 2 get to the left as far as possible and then dive 4 the corner cos the other day, my kart was stuck, grinding along the red and white slab things, i scraped my chassis and after that, i had a bad crash, nose first into the tyres, then sliding over 2 the other side of the track. It was wierd, but the grass was wet, so i couldnt get the kart under control!! But ye, watch out, cos that could cause some serious damage one day. And on my last big post, on sunday, the crash that the guy looked as if he was about to tip over, that was the new extension second corner, the 1 that i crashed on. So watch out, and kill yr speed!!! Oh ye, for the pro karts, here is a question that if u have nfs carbon on a game console, what is a prokart more towards?? Tuner- good handling, good speed, medium muscle Muscle- good muscle, medium speed and handling Exotic- Great lookin but medium performance Sounds 2 me like a muscle type, plz reply Thanx Dibbymac

Way to go man! I checked out your site. NICE. I hope it takes off. You should try to get the other Academy drivers to sign up. They can chat about everything they want to know about karting but were afraid to ask. Keep up the good work. Watch out Chriss, you have a rival.
