Web Site - Front End Who decided to have the swerling captions over the menu page.
You can't get at the items on the menu, or even read them. :?:

You don't get them if you use firefox:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
But yes they are a bloody pain, as I found out when I went on the site at work.

It's the same person that decide to announce to club and the karting community that apparently there's a Winter series on this (gone) winter!
I wander if there's going to be a summer championship to follow?
Maybe seamlessly moving straight into the 2008 winter series?
Sorry Chris I couldn't help it! LOL

Well i can only post the info as and when i get it so thats not down to me!!
It was my idea to have the caption text, just trying to improve the site and change it a little bit here and there to make it interesting. ive asked a few people and they have said it looks great and they are visitors from away circuits. im sorry the small minority dont like it. im just trying things. i dont seem to have any problems with it and it only lasts 30 seconds
im open to ideas to improve and change the site every now and again. so far i havnt had one so im trying different stuff.

Critics It would be nice for people to have suggestions rather than to critisize. As Chris has said, he can only put the info on the site when he receives it, so i suggest it is brought up at a committee meeting that someone take control of who is going to give Chris the info so that the info gets put onto the site before the events are over. A lot of time goes into looking after this site and Chris does enjoy doing it, but lets have some ideas from people about what they would like to see on the site to keep the site moving forward and interesting for visitors as well as club members. Since Chris has taken control and up date the site, the amount of views is up by approx 3000% which is great for the club, all we need to do is turn them into drivers that race regular at the club meetings provided. Thanks Paul

Paul, and Chris, the website looks great, does attract more visitors and that is reflected in the fact that mistakes are been picked-up. Don't get worked-up that we spot them. We're helping in our own way.
I've offered in the past to help getting things to Chris and the UK-Karting website so that we publicise the Club and Track and I've had similar frustrations so I sympathise with what you're saying. That's not a reason to give up, but just try harder.
It is unfortunate that I don't spend as much time at the track as I used to, that might change in the future and offers of help will continue again.
My only comment I can make to both your replies is this: you are both there more than anyone else and have all the necessary contacts. There've been so many races since the Winter series that must have made the NEWS! Ring Colin or Nigel on Wednesday evening and get a list of entrants for the following weekend then post it as NEWS.
You can announce the forthcoming Endurance race that Gwin Latcham is organising, post the S1, Stars or whatever comes Llandow's way or is going to happen.
It doesn't need to be a professional and witty full race report like Henry's, just a 5-10 line NEWS of forthcoming event, with a list of entrants for example. It fills the place, it shows that the site is updated regularly and people like to see their names mentioned even if only on a start-list.
What I'm saying is: you have the info, just got to collate it and stick it there. If the source of information is the problem it might be that the website update ought to be given to someone or somewhere where the source is or to someone who is willing to go hunt the data and collate it for posting?
