Welsh Championships 2008
I know the date has changed and the Welsh will run on the same day as the august club championship meeting, but can someone confirm these two things? 1. is it a sunday only meeting this year. 2. will we have 20 lap finals as before or will it be the normal 12 laps? Thanks Steffan.

It does make one wander if anyone from The Club is paying any attention to the website and this noticeboard. I can't help thinking that there'll be more than two people (Steffan who asked the question and I) thinking about doing the Welsh Champs and waiting for an answer and/or information about the event? Last year we had a similar situation, I asked about the format and the SR's well ahead of the event, I received a short "grunt" with: they're on the website (weren't) and nothing else. You couldn't be bothered, nor was I. I wander if The Club's short-sightedness in overlooking the website and the noticeboard as the brilliant gateway into the club that they are, had anything to do with the low numbers registered last year at the event and the subsequent decision to merge this year's event with the Clubbie! There are many clubs around the country which seem to be going places, they are talking to their members directly as well as through vibrant websites. Even newly reformed Dragon Kart Club up in the North Wales seems to be getting more mentions than the well established LKC! Come on LKC Committee, when are you going to listen and more importantly TALK to your actual and potential new returning members? It's not likely you can afford to lose any more existing ones is it?
