What's Wrong with me?
Hi guys Look, I'm 55 and drive an Ariel Atom. I'm overweight but fancy a kart just for fun. Is this all rather strange for someone my age? Any psychiatrists in the membership? I'm a frequent visitor to the main track but always find myself drawn to the karts. In my part time I started producing embroidery designs for the car market - I did one of the Llandow logo last night. Seriously, what would I be looking at paying for a kart to carry me around the circuit ? Any pictures of the type I'd need? I'm about 17st and 6' tall. I guess it needs a bit of power to get me and kart off the line. Cheers John

Hi John, just like you i used to go on the big track at llandow only i had subaru sti 305bhp, and always popped over the kart track to see the young guys having as much fun or maybe more fun than me. i now race a honda prokart, and i mean race not just going around & around , it might not be as fast but it is much more of a challenge. i race in the lms endurance race once a month and half the grid are well lets say they`r not as young as you might think, im 42 and quite a few are a bit older, there is a heavywaight class and everyone is very friendly & helpfull , look at Latcham Motorsport Unit 4B Ewenny Industrial Estate, Bridgend or visit his web sight and then come down to see what your missing :lol:

Hi Paul, Thanks for the reply. I used to have an Impreza Sti - I sold it to get the Atom! I enjoy tracking it but take it easy as mistakes at Llandow are often costly! Iknow Sharon & Tony very well as I used to live in Wick. I'll look up Latcham Motorsport. Working at police HQ I could walk there! Cheers John
